The Idea
A recognition platform for the people who shaped the medium
The Legacy Awards is a recognition platform created to honour the artists, creators, technicians, broadcasters and institutions whose work has shaped television entertainment and popular culture.
The first chapter focuses on Tamil television. It recognises the wider journey that made the industry possible, from theru koothu, stage drama and radio to Doordarshan, satellite television, non-fiction programming and today's digital audience.
